FAQ's

Do you offer in-person and or virtual sessions?

We offer both! Some clinicians provide in-person therapy, some offer fully virtual sessions, and some offer a mix of both! Each clinicians bio's will indicate if they offer in-person or virtual sessions. All virtual sessions are conducted by video through a safe and secure HIPPA compliant platform.

Do you take insurance?

In-Network: Yes! Some of our clinicians accept United, Optum, Cigna, BCBS/Anthem, Aetna, and Carelon as in-network providers. Please see individual therapist profiles for more information on who may accept your insurance plan.

Out-of-Network: â€‹If your insurance is not listed, or you wish to work with a clinician who does not accept your insurance plan, you are considered out-of-network. However, you may be eligible for insurance reimbursement if your plan has out-of-network benefits. If you would like to explore reimbursement from your insurance company, I will provide a “Superbill” (Statement for Insurance Reimbursement) on a monthly basis. The Superbill has the date of service, type of service (CPT code), your diagnosis code and the fee you paid. You can submit this Superbill to your insurance company directly. Ultimately, the decision to reimburse is up to your insurance company. Your insurance carrier may provide 20-80% reimbursement of your session fees. I cannot guarantee reimbursement from your insurance company and full fee is required at the time of each session.

Being an out-of-network provider allows:

Freedom for you to be in control of your care, including choosing your therapist, length of treatment, etc.

Increased privacy and confidentiality (except for limits of confidentiality).

Billing insurance requires an established mental health diagnosis on your medical record.

Recommended questions to ask your insurance company:

Does my plan cover outpatient therapy?

What is my out-of-network deductible?

Do I need prior authorization?

Does my plan cover remote therapy via video or telephone sessions?

How do I submit the Superbill my therapist provides me for reimbursement?

How often will we meet for therapy?

Therapy is not one size fits all. You and your therapist will discuss what makes the most sense to help you achieve your goals and ensure your plan is manageable for your lifestyle. It is recommended that therapy begins once a week especially as you build rapport and to accelerate change however, over time therapy may become less frequent. Always feel comfortable discussing this topic with your therapist as there is nothing more rewarding than
